MARGO'S ANIMAL SANCTUARY
Our Mission

From a small seed a tall tree may grow and so it was for Margo's Animal Sanctuary.

Over the thirty years since Margo's very first rescue of a little pug to be euthanased by her owner because she was too old to breed, the Sanctuary has rescued thousands of domestic animals from "death row".
Margo's Animal Sanctuary is a specialist welfare organisation that has three objectives.

The first is to give pets who have suffered cruelty, abuse and abandonment a second chance. This is achieved through rescue, rehabilitation and hopefully a new home. On arrival at the Sanctuary animals are provided with veterinary care (if required), fed, cleaned and given ID tags. Due to age or severity of abuse some pets may remain at the Sanctuary for the duration of their lives.
The Sanctuary provides a premium level of care with regular inspections by the Council and RSPCA.
The second objective is to educate the public on animal welfare issues, to promote animal rights and to demonstrate the joy of sharing the earth with the animal kingdom. To further these objectives Margo travels with some of her chosen animals to schools, shopping malls and pet shows. Margo and her animals have been known to steal the scene on many occasions!
The third objective of the Sanctuary is to provide a caring atmosphere for people who have through unforeseen circumstances been forced to surrender their pet and also to visit with her chosen animals, those in aged care homes, to share with them the joy of her pets.
The media is used as a valuable tool to promote all of the Sanctuary’s objectives. If you would like more information click here
The future for Margo’s Animal Sanctuary
Margo’s ultimate objective is that the Sanctuary purchases a property so that the animals will have secure premises into the future.
