"Cheepy's" story. . .

I was found as an "unhatched egg"

Up the back in the animals shed

Mother Hen & her just hatched chics

And two little "unhatched eggs".

One little yellow chic had fallen

Out from the safety of the nest

Mummyhen had no choice but to save it

She was followed by the rest.

Margo made them a new nest

She got them water & cracked corn

Checked the old nest to make sure

That all eggs were hatched & born.

She saw 2 eggs left side by side

She picked them both up carefully

She saw that we had not yet died

I "cheeped" so she would hear me.

She looked at me through eggshell

Said "your'e amazing story" I'll tell

I will take you two & I'll try to save you

I will start chipping away at your shell".

And as our eggshell was removing

Under white lining we were moving

She "hatched" us & lay us in the sun

After chipping at our shells one by one.

I took my first breath of life

Born into a world of both beauty & strife

We were frail cold & wet & oh so weak

Pleading "save me" with every "cheep".

We rested dry & warm oh so sleepy

We were called "Chirpy" & "Cheepy".

Us unhatched eggs made it into this world

Our first hours spent warm together curled.

"It's me Cheepy God" I prayed to the sky

To save frail "Chirpy" so he not die

In his warm bunny rug on that sunday

My twin brother "Chirpy" slipped away.

"It's me Cheepy God" I am ever so sad

For the death of the only twin I had

She picked me up now there's just her & me

And then we both cried for him uncontrollably.

"Cheepy" please don't die" she said

I will keep you here beside my bed

As the 10th egg of all my mum laid

I'd have died if "unhatched" I stayed.

I am cold and I don't understand

Margo sleeps with me in her hand

I'm a "premmie" so she must try

"please God let me "cheepy" die".

Her voice was the first voice I heard

Now I respond to her every word

I bow my little chic head & I pray

"please God help me survive one more day".

I met mummychicken & my  siblings eight

I had my first meal cracked corn he ate

I met "Chickencat" called "Streaky Face"

I like it here at margo's animalfarm place.

And now my  "Amazing Animal Story". .

I thank God I have made it this far

Katy will make turn me into a moviestar

I will come to no harm be the "Face of the Farm"

I will be "Cheepy" the famous "chicstar".
